Pet Friendly Umdobi is situated on 3.5 hectares of Zululand bush. Umdobi is in the unique position as it offers a private camping experience in Sodwana.

Each camp site is tucked away in the bush to offer our guests a peaceful and tranquil camping experience.

Umdobi is the ideal get away for the whole family to spend days on the beach, visit the various game parks in the area, relax around the pool or follow the trails that meander through the camp.

Umdobi Bush Camp is situated a short drive from Sodwana Beach. Sodwana is situated within the World Heritage Site of iSamangaliso Wetland Park. Sodwana is renowned for big game fishing, rock and surf fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling. Sodwana Bay is rated one of the top ten destinations for fishing and scuba diving.

Enjoy a day trip to Mkuze or Ndumo Game Reserves or to Thembe Elephant Park. For the 4x4 enthusiasts there are plenty of routes to test your skills through the sand, dunes and forests that are found close to the camp.

Umdobi bush Camp offers spacious, secluded and shaded campsites set in the indigenous bush. Each campsite is hidden away in the bush to offer our guests peace, privacy and tranquility. If you are looking to escape to the bush but want the option of spending days on the beach join us on "our piece of Africa" at the coast.

Umdobi Bush Camp is a perfect week-end bush getaway as it is only 180km from Richards Bay and 350km from Durban. For those coming from neighbouring provinces, a week escape to the Umdobi is the perfect getaway. You will be spoilt for choice as how to spend your days, on Sodwana Bay beach or visit one of the game reserves which are easily acccessible by tar road and close enough to enjoy a day trip.
