Dr. Barry Hindmarch, Holistic Vet, at Cape Animal Medical Clinic, used to deal mainly with pain management. Today, 50% of his patients are there for the treatment of cancer. In the past he treated about 4 dogs and cats, per month, for cancer. Now, he sees about 15 per week.

"Cancer, he claims, is due to feeding highly processed foods and exposing our pets to toxic and dangerous chemicals and poisons. The treatment and prevention thereof, relates to protecting and strengthening their immune system. This is achieved by feeding wholesome diets that include a high vegetable content, good quality omegas and natural supplements and pro-biotics. One should also refrain from using chemical flea poisons and rather look at natural remedies, like Khakibos, diatomaceous earth and regular combing."
