About us	Expect the unexpected. We have a stunning view of Longbeach, the best sunsets, we have 2 cosy fireplaces for Winter. We believe we offer good value for money that the whole family can enjoy. Although famous for our homemade thin based pizzas which are crafted by hand individually to order and cooked in our wood fired pizza oven, we also have an extensive menu offering a wide selection ranging from seafood to steaks and lots in between. For a more intimate dining experience, enjoy the cosy setting of the downstairs restaurant. The Red Herring Restaurant has a cosy country style by the beach feel with a large fireplace for those cold rainy winter nights. The garden pergola area, which is adjacent to the restaurant is sheltered from the wind and is ideal for afternoon gatherings of friends and family. The upstairs pub is where you gather with your friends to enjoy a cold beer, fine wine or something a little stronger. When you aren’t watching a sports event on the TV or jostling for real estate around the fireplace in winter, swing your bar stool around and savour the breathtaking sea view. The pub leads onto a deck with seating for more than 80 people. The view from the deck stretches from Chapman’s Peak, across Noordhoek beach to Kommetjie lighthouse and on to Slankop Mountain. This is when you reach for the extensive cocktail menu and wait for the sun to set right in the centre of the view. Whether it’s the rustic charm and roaring winter fires of the restaurant or the freshly baked pizzas straight from the wood-fired oven and cooling cocktails bidding farewell to the lingering sun, The Red Herring caters to all.
