Become an exhibitor or visit our website to see when and where the next WODAC Expo is going to be. "The first World of Dogs & Cats Exhibition was held in Durban in 1996 at the Durban Exhibition Centre and in 2003 we took the show to the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg. In 2011 the exhibition moved to the GALLAGHER CONVENTION CENTRE, an extremely popular and ideal venue where the event has been a resounding success with record visitors. 2013 saw the inclusion once again of our Equine Village. 2014 promised to be just as spectacular. AND in 2015 we celebrated our "20th Anniversary Show" The primary purpose for holding such events is to expose the public to purebred dogs, cats and horses and inform them of what responsible pet ownership involves. Every year we endeavour to improve and develop this event and to demonstrate all facets of activity to those that either already have or are considering the pleasure and responsibility of owning a pet. In 2006 the exhibition introduced a third arena for demonstrations and displays which proved very popular - the dancing with dogs competitions and displays, took place throughout the weekend and had audiences absolutely enthralled with their dazzling performances. 2007 made a welcome return to Durban and featured many more special competitions for pet lovers to enter, enjoy, win prizes and join-in as an integral part of the show in aid of animal welfare. Wodac made its debut in Cape Town in November 2010 with great success and a really fantastic weekend was had by all. WODAC 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 through to 2017 have been held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand. In 2013 Wodac held two exhibitions in the same year, February in Durban (after a five year break) and Johannesburg in July. The weekends were amazing with a record number of visitors over the three days. For the average man in the street, it is often very difficult to make a decision on which breed of dog or cat to choose when purchasing an animal. Our Breeder, Club and Trainer area and the Hall of Cats, gives the visitor a great opportunity to see numerous breeds and talk to the owners. Each breed has its own personal characteristics and experts on the various breeds are on hand to give good advice to potential owners. Visitors will find all the help they need to choose the right pet for their family circumstances. The welfare stands have their own area to enable them to promote the great work that they do. But there is more for the visitor to enjoy and learn from... From the beautiful show dogs and cats, the top obedience and agility dogs to the Hall of Cats, Reptiles, Birds, Fish, Equine Village etc and the all exciting arena events where visitors will enjoy the various dog activities in the three arenas - Dancing with Dogs, Agility, Dog Jumping, Wodac 60-Weaving Pole Challenge, Fly Ball, Canine Good Citizen, Canine Survivor, Obedience and Carting displays, and the Equine Lunge Ring featuring all aspects of equine information.
